New look to HPS Standards Website - new information available

The Health Physics Society has a new look for their website. Due to

standardizing the look across the entire site, the Standards Section

has also been revamped. If you are a HPS member, take some time to

look at what is available, including N13 and N43 Standards in PDF

format for easy download, Standards Coordinator, Standards Committee,

N13 and Working Groups, N43 and Working Groups, Standards Development

Information and Draft ISO Standards.

There are plans to host a session on the Standards Process at the

upcoming annual Health Physics Society Meeting, Washington, DC, July

11 - 15, 2004. The purpose of this session will be to explain how a

standard is initiated, approved and then issued. This will be of

prime interest to those who are tasked in implementing a standard,

once the regulatory bodies adopt the standard. More information will

be made available as plans are finalized.

Comments to the HPSSC, N13 and N43 Committees are always welcome, to

better serve your needs.

Regards,

Sandy (HPSSC Chairperson)
