Three easy ways, but as ever it depends on what other contaminants (rad

and non-rad) are present, and what the micro-texture of the surface is:

First is water, but this will 'push' a soluble contaminant further into

a porous surface.

Second is biological washing powder (domestic type). This is very

suitable for phosphorus labelled proteins and other biological

molecules.

Third is dilute phosphoric acid. A very suitable version that

incorporates a pressurized CO2 dispersion and suspension mechanism is

marketed under the trade name 'Coca Cola'. Especially good for cleaning

P32 off stainless steel and other hard surfaces.
