RE : high gas prices

I will try to be ON-topic in my answer to you Catherine:

Say you are outraged by the price increase of radwaste volume disposal (it

is happening here in Canada as we speak) and you want to pay less for the

volume of radioactive waste your company is generating...Would you simply

boycott your waste service provider to send a message or....you will go back

to your waste management practices and try to find ways to minimize the

radwaste volumes ? Option number two is always more productive don`t you

think ?

Read between the lines and if the message is not clear, go after my

signature...Let:s bring the discussion off the list if you want !

EXPLANATION: Gasoline prices are obviously not high enough since for more

then 5 years now, North Americans (Yes I am including Canadians) are

flashing their nice SUVs in any traffic jam and even cars are getting bigger

and bigger...(cross-over concepts...)A monopoly is a monopoly, reducing

average speed on the highway and cutting the energy loss from poor

aerodynamic and simple "gravity" (weight, inertia and friction) is the only

way to "hurt" and "send a message" to any oil company. Smaller and slower

cars will do it. Now, do what I say only, because I still drive fast...but

then again, I am not complaining about the fuel prices, I drive a small car

dreaming to have, one day, a Hummer like my neighbour...(just kidding !)

Hi, all.

On Wednesday, 19 May 2004, there will be a nationwide grassroots boycott of

gasoline purchases in order to protest the current high gasoline prices.

Please comply and pass this message on to your friends.
