Invitation to the 9th International Conference on Health Effects of
Incorporated Radionuclides - Emphasis on Radium, Thorium, Uranium and their
Daughter Products (HEIR 2004)
Neuherberg, Germany, Nov. 29 - Dec. 1, 2004
Dear colleague,
This conference continues a series of eight previous conferences mainly on
health effects of Radium and Thorotrast. The ninth conference will address
subjects related to the toxicity of á-emitting radionuclides in man,
including molecular and epidemiological studies, measurement and bioassay
methods relevant for human populations. It will also cover studies related
to
naturally occurring radionuclides and to sites of environmental
contamination
by alpha-emitting radionuclides as well as health effects arising from
applications of depleted uranium. New aspects in radionuclide therapy using
á-emitters will also be addressed. Further information can be found in the

The conference will take place near Munich at the GSF - National Research
Center for Environment and Health, Institute of Radiation Protection,
Ingolstaedter Landstrasse 1, 85764 Neuherberg, Germany. Conference fees are
kept to a minimum to make attendance affordable for a broad community.

conference.
