RE: RDRC / FDA meeting
I’m planning on attending and am more than happy to report on the excitement coming from the FDA on November 16. Don’t hold your breath for any monumental changes.

FYI –
I don’t know if any of you noticed, but the FDA posted a notice of public meeting and request for comments in today’s Federal Register regarding Radioactive Drug Research Committees and the FDA’s regulation of them. You can view the Federal Register notice at http://a257.g.akamaitech.net/7/257/2422/06jun20041800/edocket.access.gpo.gov/2004/pdf/04-22354.pdf. There are no specific regulatory changes within the posting. It looks like they are simply fishing for potential changes to the regulations.
The meeting is on November 16th in Rockville, MD. I wonder if it might be a good idea to have someone from the HPS Medical Health Physics Section attend the meeting and report back to the board members what happens at the meeting. (Maybe someone in the area or who is already planning on attending the meeting?) Thoughts?
