Kalpakkam, the tsunami etc

Here is one of many articles that can be found on the Internet:

http://news.newkerala.com/india-news/?action=fullnews&id=51149

It was sent out to our media (via Swedish news agency TT* - "Tidningarnas

Telegrambyrå") that a nuclear power plant was damaged. No comment was made

relating to radiation.

What are the most precise facts here? I understand that flodding may

potentially be a serious event.

Was the nuclear power plant in Kalpakkam shut down before (or after) water

entered the area or what?

My personal initiative only,

* TT has often screwed up or distorted information relating to radiation or

nuclear power.
