 I want to thank everyone who provided some suggestions, on and off
list.

 Paranoid as it sounds, the only plausible explanation of the
fact Google is 100% ignoring my site - which they have crawled -
during a matching search remains human intervention.

 I know there is much I can do to improve ranking, but this has
never been of great concern to me. All I was (still am) after
is that my site is found at all, my belief being that the right
products will make people search hard enough.

 I see no reasonable action I can take, though. Pursuing this stubbornly
will only make sure I am labeled as some sort of crank; and where and
how do I pursue it.

 The only thing I did was to make my initial page and that found
at rutgers identical - the effect, if any, will be visible within
a month or two...
