[ RadSafe ] REMIT and Form 5 version

Hi All,

I forwarded this question on to Derek Hagemeyer who is the responsible contractor for REMIT.  Here is his answer.

The current version of REMIT (5.1) generates NRC Form 4 and Form 5. In the
top right hand corner of the form, there is an OMB clearance statement. The
OMB reviews all government forms every 3 years to verify that the
information being collected is still needed. Although the current version of
REMIT has an expired OMB clearance statement, Form 4 and Form 5 have been
reviewed and the clearance has been approved and extended as OMB 3150-0006,
Expires: 09/30/2007. The Forms have not changed and are the same forms
generated by REMIT.  The clearance statement will be updated during the next
revision of REMIT. However, there are no revisions scheduled at this time.
No problems have been reported with the latest version of REMIT, and the OMB
clearance statement alone is not seen as worthy of the effort required to
distribute a new version.

General observation:
The current version of REMIT, version 5.1, produces 
"old" Form 5s... i.e. REMIT v5.1 produces NRC FORM 5
(10/2001) which expired 31 Dec 2004 -- the current 
version of the form is NRC FORM 5 (9-2004) which
expires
30 Sep 2007.

Does anybody know if any update is expected to be 
released?
