Because it's all bullshit...... It's smoke to attempt to get everyones mind off of the fact that gasoline is going to rise to 3 bucks then level off while the HUGH push will be in refineries.......
They can build nukes anytime they wanted to but the process as you know very bureaucratic and my bet is that it will be streamlined...... Want to bet this will get the anti's going ???
 
Build!....build!...build!...you fuel guzzling, drinking, eating, hungry, omnivorous, predator, flamboyant,  foolish, gaudy,  irrational, outrageous, overindulgent spoiled consumers!!!!!!!!!!

Exelon and Duke, and perhaps others, have submitted notices that they 
are initiating studies that could lead to submittal of an application 
for a construction permit for a new reactor.
