I believe a number of the big thinkers in Govt. and politics have also had some exposure to the "Doobie" Brothers in their younger days.....hehe. God Bless America!

Off Topic reply to a minimal topic post.

If you look at his admitted area of interest - it is the electronics
and software applications.  Why does application of that interest to
music production or missle defense negate contributions to NASA
exploration advisory groups?  It is evident from his inclusion in the
non-NASA advisory groups that he is a big picture thinker that has a
different starting point than the industrial conformist.  I would think
that is a valid contribution.
