[ RadSafe ] xray machine pictures

Greetings,

I am looking for a substitute for or more of the  Kodak film DEF 392 35mm 
no screen type, for xray crystallography powder experiment,  we do at UC 
Berkeley Physics senior student lab.

We need to take pictures of the powder samples.
The last box of film I have is 1/2 gone.

What other methods are available to take pictures and measure the samples.??
A goniometer is a choice. I think. Where can we get one of these 
in-expensively?
What computer program to use to analyze the data, etc?
