Then as the primary combustion product U3O8 cools, it releases UO3
gas vapor in monomolecular form, which is absorbed directly into the
bloodstream when inhaled, where it then accumulates in the testes,
brain, and other vital organs. Accumulated uranyl damages chromosomes
in the gonocytes and white blood cells, resulting in increased
incidence of birth defects, and immune system damage known as gulf
war illness, with symptoms identical to the Bethlehem Steel uranium
inhalation poisoning victims.

And those "responsible" for safety studies using particle detectors
which pass uranium trioxide molecules because they are less than 0.01
microns in diameter can't detect the UO3 because it passes through.

U3O8 has been known to produce UO3 gas below uranium combustion
temperatures since the early 1960s. A few days in the library could
have saved thirty years on the firing range, and in the lab, and in
the Veterans' Administration hospital, and in the neonatal intensive
care units, and in the graveyards.

Uranium has been a known reproductive toxin since the 1950s. The
fact that those who are considering military service are not warned
that they face reproductive harm as long as pyrophoric uranium
munitions are in use is an inexcusable act of criminal negligence.

Sincerely,
James Salsman
