Hi Dora,
unfortunately your question is too open ended to provide a sensible answer.
It simply provokes a lot of questions. What type of x-ray machine and what
is it used for e.g. Postal or aircraft baggage X-rays, Industrial X-rays for
examining welds or items that have been manufactured, X-rays sets used for
chemical analysis (XRF or XRD), medical or Dental x-rays. Then you need to
know who is being exposed, people who work with the equipment e.g. postal
workers, industrial radiographers, chemists, medical of dental personnel. Or is it
patients or the public who are having their belongings or even these days
themselves X-rayed. Or other workers who work in the vicinty of the x-ray
facility. Finally it is important to know where this is taking place e.g. the
country or even the state/province because, depending on who is being exposed
and what they are being exposed to the regulations (the law) may well differ
depending on state or national legislation.
If you provide more detail I'm sure that someone on the list will be able to
help.
Regards,
Julian
