Crash tests are usually performed to find out about the damage for a car
and the passengers running straight into a concrete block. So it is
directed towards the impacting vehicle. What is discussed here is the
impact on the "concrete block". From Jaros pictures it can be clearly
seen that the airplane "lost" and the block (representating the NPP
dome) won.
Since in this respect both the VW beetle and the Hummer would crash and
not the concrete block it is more than justified to compare the two -
both will have the same impact, namely none at all.
