       Subject:
[ RadSafe ] Health and Safety Plan needed for TENORM field
       sampling
       ---------------------------------

       Radsafers,
We have been approached by a contractor working with the U.S.
       Fish and
Wildlife Service who is seeking a Health and Safety Plan for
       field sampling
on FWS property near old copper mining (and smelting?)
       operations.
Contaminants reaching the FWS property appear to include
       TENORM, probably
uranium and its decay products, in addition to heavy metals.
       The FWS is
requiring a HSP prior to the work being conducted.
Are any of you aware of a HSP appropriate for these
       circumstances?

       Jim Otton
