GE launches its "ecomagination" initiative with webcast and advertising
supplement in The New York Times and Washington Post.  (More info below) No
mention of nuclear power in the entire eight-page advertisement from the
only remaining US vendor of nuclear power plants.  Hmmm.

    FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2005--Today General Electric
Company Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt will announce ecomagination, a GE
initiative to aggressively bring to market new technologies that will help
customers address pressing environmental challenges.
    Mr. Immelt will deliver a 12:00 p.m. address at The George Washington
University that includes the announcement of a company-wide commitment by GE
to the environment, as well as an assessment of the roles of business,
government and NGOs in solving global environmental challenges. World
