More than one dosimeter

Has anyone looked at the use of more than one dosimeter under the requirements
of the "new" 10CFR20.1201(c) considering highly nonuniform fields? I am
interested in criteria for "highly nonuniform fields" in medical radiography and
nuclear medicine. Reg. Guide 8.34 regulatory position 2.2 states that an
acceptable alternative is to use more than one dosimeter to separately track
doses to different parts of the whole body. I read this as an alternative to
conducting an evaluation of the field as in postexposure evaluations. I would
not like to see this interpreted as a requirement to use more than one badge
when exposures are generally below the "investigational level" but non-uniform.
