The January 1994 Job Placement Ads and Continuing Education Course listings
are now available on the Check Source BBS for downloading as well as the anon
FTP area here on romulus.ehs.uiuc.edu.  Those with access to gopher clients may
also access the files through the gopher server at romulus.ehs.uiuc.edu
(standard gopher port).

I just also received the listings from the Newsletter editorial office for 
November and December, but I have not uploaded them.  Besides the fact that
the information is probably out of date by now, it takes me about an hour
to do all the work necessary to convert the files from -highly formatted-
DOS WordPerfect files to plain ASCII text that is useful for viewing on line
or downloading.

The reason the files are so late in arriving, is that the HPS Newsletter staff
is very backed up and has recently undergone a change in management.  It is
possible that the material will be sent to me more promptly in the future.
Those of you who feel that electronic availability of HPS Placement 
information, Course Listings, HPS Position Statements and other materials of
interest to HPs with modems or internet access, then I encourage you to 
please contact the Newsletter offices directly and let them know how you feel.
They need to hear from the membership if this stuff is going to be given
a higher priority and support.  All of this is easy to do if I can get plain
ascii versions mailed to me prior to Newsletter publication.
