You might take a look at NCRP Report #95 "Radiation Exposure of the U.S. Pop-
ulation from Consumer Products and Miscellaneous Sources."  I'm presently in the
process of establishing a NCRP "library" here at MSU (which means I don't have
any reports available).  It seems to me there was some info in there along the 
lines of what you're looking for (perhaps some useful references anyway).
