Here are some mental meanderings-- As for EPAs "scam" to promote radon
testing/remediation; I wonder how it will change now that EPA is forcing
participants in the radon measurements and contracting proficiency programs to
pay for their privelage to participate... if they all get fed up and quit, and
the money dries up, will the risk get smaller? Stay tuned.
Regarding the general condition of the patient: Aren't WE the "radon industry"?
I concur that it is indeed our fault (HP's) that the muck is as thick as it is
in this and other politically sensitive areas of HP. What about all the HP's
that surely must work for EPA? Where were they when all the decisions were
being made?
Alas, we have met the enemy.....
But not to dwell on our mistake(s) - What can be done to repair the damage (or
stem the tide, if you don't agree there's damage)? Do we just get fat and
happy and watch the nuc industry fall apart? Seems to be the path of least
resistance.....
