The Univ. of SC has recently created a sub-committee of the Radiation Safety
Committee for all radiation producing electronic products, including lasers.
Our policies are all based on the ANSI standards. ( No state regs at this time)
Laser safety is a primary area discussed, but x-ray, microwave, UV and RF are
other key issues the committee will discuss. E-mail directly if you have more
questions.
