EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
1992-present:  Princeton University, Princeton, NJ

Health and Safety Manager for the Department of Molecular Biology.
Duties include implementation, interpretation, and educational aspects of
governmental regulatory matters as they relate to radioactive, chemical,
medical, and biohazardous materials, and administration of extensive
emergency, fire, and safety program.  Responsible for the departmental
decay-in-storage facility, chemical hygiene plan, the bloodborne pathogen
program, and laboratory safety standards.
Consultant and technical writer on radiological safety for the
installation of the fusion project tritium injection and recovery systems.


1991-1992:  U.S. Department of Energy, Pinellas Plant, Largo,FL -
General Engineer/Physical Scientist (Safety), ES&H and Compliance
Branch

Provided professional support and advice to DOE on radiation and
other safety matters and on the engineering aspects of the contractor's
safety programs to assure that adequate measures were provided for the
safety of personnel, for the prevention of damage to property, and to
identify the safety effects of the operations of a production plant on the
general public.  This interdisciplinary position involved chemical
manufacturing processes, hazardous and radioactive waste processing,
handling and storage, and consideration of the movement of contaminants in
the air, water, and soil.


1981-1990: University of Hawaii, Manoa, University Environmental Healh
and Safety Officer

Developed, promoted, and administered a comprehensive, campus-
wide Environmental Health and Safety Program that included occupational
health and safety, hazardous waste management, radiation safety, fire
safety, diving safety, and biohazards safety.  Responsible for the University's
compliance with applicable county, state, and federal environmental, health,
and safety regulations.
Consultant to Mid-Pacific Medical Physics for the calibration and service of
diagnostic and theraputic radiation devices.
Clinical Professor of Public Health, University of Hawaii School of Public
Health.

1977-1981: University of Florida, Gainesville, University Radiation
Control Officer

Consulted with potential radiation users and evaluated all proposed
procedures that involved the use of radioactive materials or radiation
producing devices.  RSO for the University, Medical Center, and 100kw
research reactor. Reviewed experimental procedures, safety equipment, and
detection techniques.
