When I worked at U of PENN we had the LSC vendors submit the request to 
the City Sewer dept.  If approval was given in writing by the City we 
allowed investigators to sewer dispose.  I don't know if that is still 
current practice there.  Now at U of DE we do not allow sewer disposal of 
LSC and ship it for chemical disposal.  Bill Fendt U of DE.
