Several contemporary (about 1950) articles mention concerns about stunting 
foot growth of children, about skin burns, and about damage to bone marrow of 
store employees, but I have seen no references, even anecdotal, to actual 
injury.

I have seen anecdotal references to injuries caused by the use of 
fluoroscopes for personnel inspection in shipyards during WWII, but I have no 
direct documentation.
