  Description:  Radiation Safety Officer to manage a comprehensive radiation
safety program.  Supervises the health physics staff and interact with a 
diverse
research community.  Responsibilities include employee management, training, 

project review and approval, NRC licensing, bioassays, surveys, waste 
disposal,
dosimetry, instrumentation and all aspects of a broad-based, 
multi-disciplinary
university research program including functioning as an RSO for licensing 
and regulatory
requirements.  Operations include sealed sources, x-ray, 250+ radioisotope 
labs,
nuclear reactor, accelerator, lasers, etc.  Must have B.S. degree in science 
or engineering with
five years applicable experience.  Experience must include management and 
must
demonstrate interpersonal, training, oral and written communications skills. 
 University
research experience, graduate degree and Total Quality Management knowledge
