Re: tritium wipe tests
A recent paper in Health Physics may have the answer: "Wipe testing for
surface contamination by tritated compounds" by J Campbell et al in V 64,
No 5,May 1993, pp540-544.
Also, for laboratory safety with tritium generally I can recommend the book
by Ballance, Richards and Thomas: "Tritium: Radiation Protection in the
Laboratory". Published in the UK by H and H Scientific Consultants, it's
No 11 in a series of health physics handooks aimed at university research
labs published for the Association of University Radiation Protection
Officers (AURPO).
AURPO is a British outfit which brings out quarterly (?) newsletters. The
newsletters mostly discuss local issues but it is a good way to find about
their list of very useful handbooks - and its always interesting to hear
about problems and issues which are often the same regardless of regulatory
regime.
