Annular Kinetic Impactor

     Dear RADSAFERS,
     
     For some reason some of us were not receiving any RADSAFE messages for 
     2 - 3 weeks after the holidays.  Now we appear to be back online. I 
     tried posting this question 3 weeks ago but received no response.  I 
     would like to apologize to any of you who may have responded to my 
     earlier attempt.
     
     My question deals with Annular Kinetic Impactor head for air sampling 
     manufactured by Staplex and Hi-Q Environmental. The manufacturers 
     claim that the impactor heads are effective in collecting heavy 
     particles (i.e. alpha emitters) without collecting radon daughter 
     products.  We have no experience using the impactor head, and I cannot 
     locate any publication that discusses any field testing results.
     
     Is there anyone experienced or knowledgeable in using the annular 
     kinetic impactor heads?  If so, may I contact you?  Is there any 
     publications or reports you can point me to, or can you provide me a 
     copy?
