Re[2]: Low freq noise in New Mexico?

There was a segment about this on TV 2-3 weeks ago (one of those Unsolved
Mysteries type shows).  It's called the "hum" and the few people that hear
it in their heads are called "hearers."  It's a wavering low-pitched hum
like several megawatt turbines slightly out of sync.  Their was
speculation that it's related to the low frequency system the military
uses for world-wide communications, particularly since activity seems to
be greatest in times of international crises.  I think the hearers they
interviewed on the program were from California.  Go figure.
