The Raydon

Alas, the Raydon was not an inexpensive software package for
inventory control.

It was "a pen like device worn in the pocket or carried in the
handbag and designed to deflect and neutralize harmful radiations of
the type mentioned. It will also decontaminate radiation from your
food and water. It has no batteries and is self charging. . .
individually made in a laboratory to very high standards and every
one is tested before dispatch".

Clearly, information about the Raydon was sought on Radsafe because
of its subscribers expertise regarding the latest developments in
radiation protection.

I understand (perhaps incorrectly) that the company that made them,
Vibronic Energy Inc. of Kew Garden Hills, NY, no longer exists.
Nevertheless, a wide range of personal dosimeters (eg. TLDs) are on
the market and according to popular consensus, they can do everything
the Raydon could do :-)
