tritium x-rays

QUT recently decommissioned a Kaman neutron generator which had about 3Ci of
H3 incorporated into a titanium tritide target. Using a GM tube based survey
meter I could easily measure a couple of uSv per hour immediately adjacent
to the target even through the glass envelope and stainless steel pressure
vessel! Many thanks to Mike Williamson, RSO at the University of Queensland
for temporarily storing it for us.
