REPLY TO 05/05/95 05:38 FROM bbusby@umich.edu "Bruce Busby": Pearl Wisdom
Dear Mr. Busby:
Professor William A. Tiller is indeed an emeritus professor of
Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford and he was the
chairman of the department in the early 1970's. I spoke with him
about the claims of the company in question and this is what he
said:
"I worked with these people from 1992 to June 1993 and left because
of their continuing to advertise without testing of their claims.
I didn't know they were still using my name and I will get after
them personally on that.
The devices hold real promise, I think, of a beneficial future
technology but they still have a long way to go and objective
testing still needs to be done."
These are Professor Tiller's views on this subject. I am not able
to give you any opinion about the promise of this work as I have not
reviewed it myself. I concur with Professor Tiller's statement that
objective testing of any new claim must be done before it can be
taken seriously.
I hope this helps.
