Barnwell reopening?

Yesterday the South Carolina Legislature approved a budget packagethat include
s the reopening of Barnwell to all out of region wastes starting on July 1 of
this year. The governor is expected to sign this. The resolution on opening
Barnwell has no strings attached but raises the state surcharge on all wastes
to approximately $235 per cubic foot in addition ot the normal disposal cost.
