Re: high energy photons - calibration
Dr George Chabot of Univ of Lowell, (508) 934-3288 may be a source
of help with N-16.
Hallo RADSAFE:
Please, help me to identify any institution or organization that would=
either:
1a) perform a fluence/flux density calibration for high energy photons,
especiacially, of those from N-16 (6.13 MeV and 7.12 MeV).
1b) perform a dose/dose rate calibration for the same as above at the
radiation protection levels.=20
These are of concern in the power reactor environment.
2) distribute an Am-241 or Pu-239(alpha,n)C-13 source with prompt N-16
gammas. Preferably, having the source traceable to the NIST or the like
institution. =20
3) perform some of the 1a,b) on bremstrahlung photons from betatrons or=
linacs.
