Source material listed in 10 CFR 40.13 does not necessarily mean that NRC 
does not regulate the disposal of the material.  10 CFR 40.13 exempts the 
person from Part 40 and the requirements for a license not from Part 20, 
Subpart K (Waste Disposal).  Source material may be received under a general 
license in 10 CFR 40.22, with conditions, and be exempted from Part 19, 20, 
and 21.

Probably Uranium-238 and Thorium-232.  10CFR Part 40.13 defines unimportant
quantities of source material.  If the compound is less than one-twentieth 
of
one percent (0.05 percent) disposal is not regulated by the NRC.  However,
you might want to coordinate with the state that you reside.  There are 31 
states
that prohibit dispoal of any quantity of radioactive material by 
conventional
