If the Investigator (worker) uses more than 1mCi at any one time of high 
energy beta emitter (such as P-32) he/she is required, by the Harvard 
University Radiation Safety Committee, to have monitoring devices (film & 
finger ring).

All other users of isotope, unless specified by the Radiation Safety 
Committee, as not "required" to have dosimetry but we provide them 
anyway...  It helps with the record keeping and reporting.
