Re: Pu toxicity (more on)

The toxicity of the toxins produced by certain anaerobic bacteria
like botulinus and tetanus are extraordinary. Many chemical toxins
like CN and CO are receptor binding in their function. CN and CO
bind hemaglobin so that it can't carry O2. The toxins from botulism,
tetanus, etc. catalytically cleave certain chemical bonds. One molecule
can do a lot of damage.

I nominate a buldging can of green beans as the most toxic substance on earth.
