Our laser safety people relayed the following information regarding barrier
breakdown times to me:
From ANSI Z136.1-1993, Appendix C (C2.4)
"...the barrier will exhibit a threshold limit for beam penetration through
the barrier during a specified time (typically 60 seconds)."
