Re: Household radioactive materials?



When I was in the service in the late '70s, we had the self-luminescent
compasses.  They were "powered" by 8, or 10 mCi of tritium (if I recall
correctly).  Not really a household product, but a damn good piece of
equipment when you're stompin' the sticks on a black night in Dahlonega GA.
Back then I think you could get them at the military surplus stores (at
least you could at a store in Tacoma!).
