estimating lifetime risks, software

I do not want to precipitate discussion on the validity of risk estimates for
small exposures, BUT, on the topic of software that does this and allows the
user to play 'what-if' games I have seen several packages that do this (sorry
for the rambling sentence).  e.g. .....
  SURVRAD from Viking Software
  a similar package from NRPB (do not recall the program name)

Does anyone have any experience with these products worth sharing?
