GM response to pulsed fields

Except for the rare condition of low detection probability per pulse,           
I would be very skeptical about believing a GM detector would properly          
measure a pulsed radiation field (where the pulses are short compared to        
the detector resolving time).                                                   
                                                                                
'Skeptical' is a very generous phrase in this instance.                         
If one happened to get a good comparison with another instrument I would        
consider it a weird coincidence at best.                                        
 In pulsed fields consider GM detectors useless unless you have a very good     
technical basis for doing otherwise.
