     You're correct.  My empirical data on testing at least ten methods for 
     deconning tritium did verify what you have just said.  My warning to 
     those who use well-known cleaners for tritium decon should be careful 
     to note the amount of chelates contained in the product, because this 
     becomes an issue at the waste disposal facility.

"chelating" refers to chemical binding to metals, e.g plutonium.  Obviously 
it depends on the chemical form, but I have never heard of chelation used 
with any tritiated compound.
