Disposal of Sr-90 eye applicator

Can one dispose of a Sr-90 eye applicator for less than, say, $600?
If not, is anyone out there interested in having such a source? It is
more than 40 years old, but in excelent condition. The current activity
is about 38 mCi. It can be had by paying a fair share of the cost of
transportation and recalibration (NIST is currently asking about $1500
to recalibrate, I think).

Please do no reply via the list. If you know of a cheap disposal site,
please let me know at my email address below. If you wish to have the
source, please contact Betty Bowden, Director of Radiology/Bellville
General Hospital/44 North Cummings/Bellville, Texas 77418, or call her at
(409) 865-3141 x167

Thanks in advance for any help!
