Photon transport simulation code

Radsafers:

I'm interested in any references to photon transport simulation in the
literature.  I am particularly interested in any available code.  My office
is studying the problem of relating surface gamma spectra to subsurface
radium-226 concentrations, and we would like to perform a series of
simulations as part of the work.
