Sources of environmental radiation detection instruments

I am looking for information on instrumentation to be used
at a summer camp for handicapped kids in a demonstration
on environmental sources of radiation.

If you can recommend sources of instrumentation (not too
expensive as this will come out of personal checking) I would
be very grateful.  I am familiar with the AWARE instruments.
