Re[2]: MONITORING UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTER

I have no disagreement with any of the comments stating that dosimetry
need not be provided to save money, based on previous history. I will
maintain my opinion based on observance of many law suits being
brought for doses that are well below regulatory as well as
"monitoring not required" thresholds. Recall that the average lifetime
of radiation induced litigation is approximately 200 mrem. To have a
case thrown out of court, for radiation cases, is approximately
$500,000. To get to a jury the average cost is approximately
$3,000,000. These numbers are offered by ANI (American Nuclear
Insurers). So yes, I would call thousands of dollars cheap insurance
IF you ever do get to court and the case goes against the plaintiffs.
     Just an opinion, mind you.
