Position Openings - Health Physics Professionals
NOTICE OF HEALTH PHYSICS PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Protection is now
advertising for Senior level Health Physics personnel to staff new
positions that will be available immediately and in the near future.
ODH is developing rules and programs to submit to the NRC for
Agreement State status. In addition, the Contaminated Sites (e.g.,
FUSRAP, SDMP, DOE oversight) program will also be searching for
professional Health Physicist. ODH is also preparing to provide
oversight and licensing for the Midwest Interstate LLRW Compact LLRW
Disposal Facility to be sited in the state of Ohio.
Current openings exists for senior level Health Physicists with the
following qualifications:
Related degree and five years - MINIMUM - of full time health physics
or radiation protection work experience with experience in inspection
for radioactive materials; or radiological oversight of nuclear
facilities such as power plants, uranium enrichment facilities,
processing facilities; or nuclear safety or radioactive materials in a
radiation control program within industry, a broad scope medical
facility, a major university or another state or federal radioactive
materials program. Additional qualifications may exist for specific
positions.
