Following the suggestion that this may be useful to the wider audience:

I purchased HP Assistant last year when it was still in its DOS form. 
Earlier this year, we upgraded to the Windows version.  Mike DaPrato and
his staff have been most helpful in the transition and in doing custom
features for us.  I am totally satisfied with the product.  We looked at
several options last year, and HPA gives you the most for the investment.
I have over 600 users and over 200 labs.  It works just fine for me.
