Mettler Balances

Our institution recently found one of the Mettler balances like those
mentioned recently here.  I had some questions  regarding  these
balances. 

1.   What was the activity of Ra-226 used in these balances? 

2.  If you have these balances, what safety instructions (if any) are
you giving the users (especially if they are pregnant or do not work
around radioactive material)?  

3.  Do you recommend leak testing them at a specific frequency?
