Re: U-238 concentrations in soil
Look in for the rules in 40 CFR 192. The standards have also been
extended to cleanups other than those they were specifically written
for. This was done by including the cleanup standards as ARARs in
CERCLA Records of Decision.
I recommend reading the October 1982 document EPA 520/4-82-013-1
"Final Environmental Impact Statement for Remedial Action Standards
for Inactive Uranium Processing Sites" so you understand the basis and
assumptions inherent in the the cleanup standards.
