  POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT


  POSITION #1

  TITLE:  HEALTH PHYSICIST
  COMPANY:  SAIC

  SALARY LEVEL:  32
  SALARY RANGE:  42,500 - 56,000 (MIDPOINT)

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  Minimum B.S. in Health Physics, Radiological Protection, or related
  fields.  Level of technical background for this position is five years of
  experience in radiation protection, environmental monitoring.  Above
  average writing and verbal communication skills are required.  M.S.
  degree preferred.

  DESCRIPTION:

  Develop and implement plans and procedures for Radiation Protection
  Program and Radiological Environmental Monitoring for Yucca Mountain
  Project.  Collect and document radiological environmental data.  Analyze,
  interpret data, and generate reports.  Implement quality control
  activities as they relate to the data.  Develop data inputs for biosphere
  modeling activities and perform radiological impact assessment as
  necessary.  Job location is Las Vegas, Nevada.

  QUALIFICATIONS:
  Minimum B.S. in Health Physics, Radiological Protection, or related
  fields.  Level of technical background for this position is one to three
  years of experience in radiation protection, environmental monitoring.
  Above average writing and verbal communication skills are required.
  Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently with minimum
  supervision.

  DESCRIPTION:

  Implement plans and procedures for Radiation Protection Program and
  Radiological Environmental Monitoring.  Collect and document radiological
  environmental data.  Analyze, interpret data, and generate reports.
  Implement quality control activities as they relate to the data.

  This position is assigned full time at Yucca Mountain site, Area 25 of
  the Nevada Test Site, working four 10-hour days.
